Essay Questions
- Say what you are going to do next weekend. Write five French sentences with aller + infinitive. (5 marks)
- Conjugate finir in the simple future for je, tu and il. (3 marks)
- Write the nous form in the simple future of: être, avoir, aller, faire. (4 marks)
- Write five French sentences about your life in ten years. Use the simple future. (5 marks)
- Translate into French: (a) Tomorrow I will go to school. (b) Next week we are going to travel. (c) You will be happy. (3 marks)
Essay Questions: Marking Guide for Teachers and Parents
- One mark for each correct sentence. Expect: Samedi, je vais jouer au football. Je vais aider ma mère. Mes amis vont venir chez moi. Nous allons regarder un film. Dimanche, je vais aller à l’église. Check that aller is conjugated and the second verb stays in the infinitive.
- je finirai, tu finiras, il finira (1 mark each).
- nous serons, nous aurons, nous irons, nous ferons (1 mark each).
- One mark for each correct sentence. Expect: Dans dix ans, je serai médecin. J’habiterai à Accra. J’aurai une grande maison. Je voyagerai en France. Mes parents seront fiers de moi. Check the stems and endings (-ai, -as, -a, -ons, -ez, -ont).
- (a) Demain, j’irai à l’école. (b) La semaine prochaine, nous allons voyager. (c) Tu seras content(e). (1 mark each).
